Do you need to 'prepare' for a Kinesiology session?

This is a question that I get asked a lot so I thought I would share a few tips.

Given Kinesiology taps into your own body’s innate healing power and can identify where a stress is occurring, there is no need to fully prepare in any way.

However you will get more out of your session if you have already identified the issue or area of your life that you would like to work on. It could be as simple as seeking clarity on a decision you need to make, reoccurring headache pain, feeling stuck in a rut in general or you could be further down your transformation path and know there is a limiting belief you would like to clear.

And are you actually ready to look at the ‘stuff’ you may not want to face….are you actually a ready to take 100% responsibility for where you are at and your role in this and willing to begin to change your own mindset-actions.

This 'stuff' that we carry is in no way perceived as good or bad, it just is what it is, often we have carried it with us since childhood. As often we have 'picked up' the beliefs of our parents, family, friends or role models around us throughout our life and then have subconsciously taken this belief on as our own, without realising that in most cases it is not our truth at all.

If it’s your first session with me, I will send you a new client intake form which you will fill out and bring along to your appointment. This gives you an opportunity to think about your goals and to help you get clear on what you want to focus on, and to consider how other areas of your life might be related to your presenting concern.

Don’t worry if you feel nervous or apprehensive about having Kinesiology for the first time, that is something we can talk about and address in person and I can start slowly with lots of explanation during the process. My aim is to make you feel as comfortable and relaxed as I can!

If you are coming in for a follow up session then you can write down some notes, on what has shifted since your last session and what is going well for you right now. We can then focus on what is coming up for you now, and what needs more of your attention to clear so you can get the best possible outcome from your session.

Sometimes clients will not feel clear on what to work on, and that’s okay, as I can talk to your body via muscle testing to find what is the priority for you to work on.

You will remain fully clothed during your session so it’s a good idea to where comfortable clothes, and turn of your phone so as to give yourself no distractions for the whole session. Then all that is left for you to do is relax and enjoy the process!

Trust that what comes up in your session time is absolutely what you need to focus on. Although you do need to keep in mind that with some longer held beliefs or physical issues it may take a series of 4-6 sessions before you start to see any significant change, but you can expect to feel more relaxed after a session than when you first came in!

As always I must remind you that Kinesiology does not treat or diagnose any named disease or illness but it can be a positive addition to your healing regime and can work in conjunction with any medical treatment plans.
