What Is Reiki Distant Healing?

Distance Reiki healing is a technique that allows the practitioner to offer a Reiki session without the client being in the same room or geographic location, the practitioner is able to transmit Reiki beyond physical touch.

How Does The Reiki Distance Session Work?

You can book a Reiki Distance session, which is usually 30 minutes but can also be booked for any time up to 60 minutes. Setting aside a specific time for the session enables you to be in a more receptive state, such as lying down or meditating during the session.


In advance of the session, you can email Ali a photo, if you like, and a few details about yourself i.e. name, age, location, and an intention of what you want the session to support. For example, you might wish to focus on a physical issue or a specific goal or way of feeling.

Ali prepares for your session the same way she does for an in person session. At your scheduled session time, she focuses on you and directs the Reiki energy to positions on the body similar to the way she would if you were in clinic. Following the session Ali will share with you via email what she experienced during the session or any messages that may have come through.

How To Prepare For Your Session

Find a comfortable place to sit or lie down, and while it is not necessary for the healing, you may like to create a healing space for yourself by meditating prior or during session, setting your own intention for healing, lighting a candle or incense, playing relaxing music and perhaps having a journal or notepad close by to note down anything you notice during the session or at the end of the session your feelings, impressions and thoughts.

What To Expect

It is not uncommon for clients to notice physical sensations during the Reiki Distance session, just as they might when receiving a session in person. You might feel warmth, tingling, or a sense of peace and relaxation. You might also notice the mind calming down or the alleviation of physical symptoms.
Sometimes people feel quite alert and aware during the session, while others drift off and maybe even fall asleep. Whatever you experience trust that it is what you most need.

  • Eases anxiety and depression

  • Improves sleep

  • Balances mood and your emotions

  • Enhances your body’s ability to balance and heal itself

At the end of the session, take a few minutes (or however long you need) to integrate everything from the session, taking a few deep breaths and sitting up slowly. Make sure to have a glass of water close by and sip the water to rehydrate and ground into your body. Most importantly listen to your body and rest and move accordingly.

Ali focuses on offering Reiki from a state of Oneness, of connection to love and connection to all that is. Reiki is pure energy force, it is Universal energy. When it is combined with the sincere desire of the receiver, who is willing to undergo a cleansing within his or her emotional and spiritual consciousness, a total healing occurs. Givers and receivers alike, often experience Reiki as Love. Love is a uniting power which leads us to an even greater state of oneness and put it into practice in our lives. Love is the original home of the soul, each should being a drop in the limitless ocean of being. Love is what we channel when giving and receiving Reiki.
